Counselling centre not pleased with union comments

Management at the Counselling Centre of East Algoma is reassuring its clients that services will continue without interruption.  The facility was reacting to news that its employees have voted to strike if they can’t get a first contract.  The centre isn’t happy that OPSEU, which represents the workers, issued a release on the labour dispute.   One comment from the union was it criticized the centre for spending $30,000 in legal fees over labour talks and then claimed it had nothing for the workers.  However management says it doesn’t believe in negotiating a collective agreement through the media.  The centre says it will continue to bargain fairly within its economic means to reach a first contract.  The centre provides various services in addictions and family violence.
