The OPP canine unit and special officers were unsuccessful in finding a suspect.
Officers from the Espanola detachment responded to a theft in progress at a business on Panache Lake Road in Espanola on Friday October 12th at around 8:00am.
With the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit, officers made attempts to locate the suspect, but they were not found.
The damage to the building and theft are estimated to be over $5,000.
Access to Penage Lake Road was re-opened Friday night.
OPP are asking that any person with information to call OPP or Crimestoppers and the investigation is continuing.
