The annual Labour Day Road Toll was another success in Espanola, hosted by the Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation.
Foundation communications spokesperson, Terri Noble, says $2,889 was raised this year on the Holiday Monday.
Noble adds the funds raised is going to a specific gating system that will allow for easy access, but also protection for the users for the Espanola Therapeutic Park, which will be constructed next Spring.
The new park will house waterworks, gardening, sitting and walking areas for residents of the long-term care, especially those with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, in a safe and enclosed outdoor environment.
