Many drug arrests in Sault Ste. Marie

A crackdown on drugs by police agencies in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma continues to yield positive results. A two month investigation dubbed Project Renohas seen the arrest of 15 people ranging in age from 19 to 64. In all, police have laid 37 charges and seized $20,000 worth of drugs including morphine, marijuana and fentanyl. Recently police have seen a rise in their city where prescription drugs are sold to addicts for high prices. They formed the special unit and have been targeting the dealers. This is the second major bust the special unit has made this year.
