It’s a happy ending for an 81-year-old Manitoulin man who became lost while bow hunting near Meldrum Bay. The man failed to return home late Thursday afternoon prompting a call to the island OPP. An emergency response team and canine unit searched through the night and found the hunter around 5:30 a.m. Friday. It turns out the man became disoriented during a snow squall. OPP say the man is an experienced outdoors man so he was well prepared for the environment. He found shelter for the night and stayed put until police found him. He did not need any medical attention.
