Man charged after blocking access to a Crown road

East Algoma OPP has had to arrest a man for blocking a Crown road.

OPP say back on July 5th, officers and a conservation officer went out on William Lake Road where a gate had been erected denying access to Williamson Lake, Smoky Lake and a logging area north of Iron Bridge.

A man was told that he had 48 hours to remove the fence located on Crown land.

However, on August 4th, police had to once again respond to two complaints where another gate had been erected across the road.
