A couple of Highways in the Algoma District have re-opened after being affected by the weather on Tuesday. Highway 129 from Thessalon to Chapleau re-opened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday after deteriorating weather closed it down around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday. And Highway 17 between White River and Wawa re-opened after a three hour closure. The Trans Canada was shutdown mid afternoon Tuesday because of hazardous driving conditions. It re-opened at 6:00 p.m.
