The North Bay OPP say an Ottawa man died in a plane crash on Monday morning.
Police say the crash site, about 100 metres from Talon Lake in Rutherglen Township, had been engulfed in flames and cottagers reacted quickly to the situation putting the fire out.
The only occupant, 57-year-old, Michael MacNeil of Ottawa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Transportation Safety Board is continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
