People, businesses and communities throughout the Manitoulin region will benefit from the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and the creation of more well-paying, middle-class jobs, thanks to a strategic investment by the Government of Canada of nearly $5 million.
The announcement was made by Sudbury MP Paul Lefebvre on behalf of the feds and supports the federal government’s Prosperity and Growth Strategy for Northern Ontario.
The FedNor funding will support 17 priority projects being led by 13 Island organizations including the Wikwemikong Development Commission, Waubetek Business Development Corporation and the Ojibwe Cultural Foundation to name a few.
