50th anniversary displays at Massey Area Museum

Visitors to the Massey Area Museum will see some new exhibits this year in celebration of its 5oth anniversary.

One of the most popular is a hanging in the Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation room depicting research done by Jayson Stewart’s Appreciating Aboriginal Culture class at Espanola High School.

It depicts the 131 residential schools in Canada and features many local photos of those who went there while feathers represent wisdom and community healing.
The museum is usually open 11:00am to 4:00pm, seven days a week.
