Jolene Cortemanche of Espanola is within reach of a new van and wheelchair lift. The latest fundraiser, which involved donations from grocery bagging at Freshco, brought in nearly $1,400. The wheelchair bound woman is now five thousand dollars shy of her goal. A new van and lift cost $60,000 and communities in the Espanola area, and Manitoulin, have all pitched in to help out.
