A Massey family has been able to raise the money needed for a new wheelchair accessible van.
The family’s 2007 van was starting to fall apart so a go fund me was set up for Lisa and Julian Richer’s daughter, Emily, who needs to travel to Sudbury and Toronto for ongoing medical care.
Lisa says with assistance from the March of Dimes and the fundraising campaign, their new 2018 modified van is now reserved and could arrive by late summer.
She adds remaining funds are going to be put towards insurance, undercoating and a trip to Sick Kids to Toronto in October.
