Thefts from Vehicles in Blind River

Two vehicle owners found out the hard way that keeping their vehicles unlocked can result in loss.

The East Algoma OPP responded to thefts from two vehicles on Hawkins Street in Blind River yesterday morning, just after 4:00am.

The investigation determined both vehicles were unlocked and a man’s wallet and credit cards were stolen.

Police recommend drivers should double-check their vehicles are locked and recommend that personal items, such as ID or credit cards, should not be left in a vehicle at any time.
