Around 150 people were in attendance for the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion Branch #39 honours and awards night with the highlight being the presentation of service pins to members.
Dempsey Taricani and Dalton Lafolley were two of four recipients who were able to attend the dinner last Friday evening to receive their 70-year service pins.
Seventy-year pins will also be presented to A.R. (Bob) McKitrick and Orio Talevi.
Over 55 other members were also acknowledged for service ranging from five to 55 years.
The Legion also swore in its new executive including the installation of officers with Gary McPherson chosen for another year as President.
