A major road in Elliot Lake will be closed for reconstruction.
City CAO, Dan Gagnon, says as of next Monday May 28th Hillside Drive South from the corner of Highway108 to Ontario Avenue (in front of Milltown Motors) will be closed for approximately three weeks.
He says the closure is due to work on the storm drains and road surface.
Detour signs will be up and patrons of the Beer Store will have to park in the parking lot to the north to access the building from the sidewalk.
Gagnon says the city apologizes for any inconvenience during the construction period, but the work will correct the long standing, significant bump in the road surface on that stretch of Hillside.
