Sagamok’s elementary school received a welcome surprise in the form of a substantial grant from Indigo Books.
Biidaaban Kinoomaagegamik received a $40,000 grant from Indigo Books.
The money will be used to buy new classroom books with reconciliation-related subject matter, cultural materials and language resources.
They will also pursue a project to see the construction of a bookmobile for the community.
The grant was presented on Tuesday.
