Blitz nails 38 distracted drivers

Sudbury police nailed 38 motorists in a secret distracted driving blitz. Policed used unmarked cruisers and plain clothes officer to watch motorists and quite a few were talking on their cells while driving. The fine, when you add in surcharges, is $280. The blitz also resulted in other offenses including a lead foot driver who was clocked at 118 kilometres an hour in a 60-K zone. It was the second time in two weeks that police caught the same driver for speeding.
