Now that another Provincial Parks season is over in Northern Ontario, the NDP want to know if the Liberals will re-open them again next year. Gilles Bisson, the MPP for Timmins-James Bay, says northerners need to know early on if the parks will stay open. About 10 parks faced closure two years ago, but the Liberals kept them open under a pilot project. Bisson says the parks made the money under the pilot and adds they should remain operational. He believes if the Liberals delay a decision on the parks, campers will make other plans for next year and the pilot parks won’t get much use.
