A new film, The Philanthropist by Massey filmmaker Jayson Stewart, is being filmed locally.
Stewart says the short film came to him in a dream and filming will take place in May in Espanola and Gore Bay featuring a small main cast.
It is a horror film.
For some characters, their problems in life are solved and they walk away with immense riches while others never return from their meeting with The Philanthropist.
The cast features local actors; Dylon Whyte, Autumn Buratynski, Heather Stevenson and Liliane Chrétien.
However, extras are needed and anyone who would like a walk-on role is invited to mark Mother’s Day in May on their calendar.
Stewart hopes to have the film ready for viewing by mid-summer.
