Daffodil Campaign underway in Espanola

The Canadian Cancer Society has launched its national Daffodil Campaign, which will benefit many people in the Espanola, North Shore and Manitoulin Island area.

Society community coordinator, Marissa Secord, says a goal of $20,000 has been set for the local area, and that money stays locally for the transportation program.

She says clients, ie. patients, call their office in Sudbury and they will make the arrangements for transportation to medical care, either from the Espanola area to Sudbury and back, but also to Toronto.

Secord says Daffodil pins will be sold at Winkel’s YIG and a door-to-door campaign will be held as well.
