Good Samaritan’s Vehicle stolen

A Kitchener woman is facing several charges following a crash and a police pursuit.

Around 3:00pm on Monday, East Algoma OPP was called out to a vehicle rollover on Highway 17, just east of the Highway 108 turnoff.

While waiting for police, a Good Samaritan assisted the two women by letting them sit in his vehicle.
But then, the two stole it heading west towards Blind River.
A pursuit followed and police located the abandoned vehicle in Algoma Mills.

A ground search resulted in the two being eventually found by police.

The second woman, a 29-year-old, was transported to hospital in Sudbury with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
