Members of the Little Current Lions Club and Little Current Legion Branch #177 were in Espanola yesterday to support not one, but two local organizations.
Lions President, Bruce Burnett and Legion member, Linda Bowerman, presented a cheque for $1,950 to Community Living Espanola to go towards programs and services.
They then made their way to Canadian Tire to present a $1,000 to Canadian Tire representative, JP Lamothe for Jumpstart, which provides funding to children who can’t afford registration and/or equipment for sports.
The money was raised through the Catch the Ace Lottery.
The progressive prize for next Wednesday’s Catch the Ace draw will be $1,000 plus 30% of this week’s ticket sales.
