Fedeli sounds alarm bells over ONTC and Ring of Fire

Northerners should be worried that the Ring of Fire isn’t mentioned in the province’s decision to no longer sell the transportation part of the ONTC.  That’s the word from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli.  Northern development minister Michael Gravelle made the ONTC announcement in North Bay a week ago last Friday.  Then last Wednesday finance minister Charles Sousa told rail people in London, Ontario that they will play a pivotal in the Ring of Fire.  Fedeli says when you connect both events, it makes sense why Gravelle was silent on the issue in North Bay while Sousa talked about London’s role in the development.  Many northerners believe that rail is a key component to hauling chromite out of the Ring of Fire once it’s developed.
