Espanola boy fighting cancer again

The hockey community and Espanola are pulling to together to help a family facing a serious medical situation once again.

The Moose reported in late January that nine-year-old Blake Bond of Espanola had rung the bell declaring him cancer free for the last three years.

However, tests in mid-February showed the leukemia has returned and he is once again facing treatment.

Yesterday, the Espanola Eagles and Express, Sudbury Wolves and Toronto Maple Leafs made a video supporting Blake who loves hockey.

Travelling to Sudbury and Ottawa will mean the family will incur costs not covered by any programs.
Direct donations can also be made to the Team Blake account at Espanola’s TD Bank.
