OPP say be careful over hunting season

The middle of fall means another hunting season in Northern Ontario.  And with that in mind, the OPP have several tips to keep everyone safe.  Hunter orange is a must in the bush because it keeps you from getting shot from a fellow hunter.  Have a kit with you that’s equipped with a compass, map, matches and light food in case you get lost.  Bringing along a GPS is also a good idea.  Also hunters need to make sure they have the correct license for the type of game they’re hunting.  Police are also reminding hunters to stay off private land unless they have written permission from the owner.  And keep the safety on and your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to shoot.
