A man robbed one too many businesses in the Hanmer area and got caught as a consequence. Hanmer has been hit with several armed robberies the last few weeks and as a result Sudbury police stepped up night patrols in the area. Tuesday night a plain clothed officer saw a man head into a mini-mart with his face hidden and moments later the same man came out holding a knife. Police arrested him at gunpoint and found stolen money on him. They also arrested a female getaway driver. The man has been linked to two other robberies in Hanmer. The 36-year-old faces three counts each of robbery with a weapon, possessing a dangerous weapon and disguise charges while the 42-year-old woman is charged with robbery.
