Today is World Radio Day.
This will be the first time that Canada and Vista Radio will be participating in World Radio Day.
At their 2011 General Conference, UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, proclaimed February 13 World Radio Day.
February 13th was chosen because it was the day United Nations radio was established in 1946.
Vista Radio and The Moose are proud to celebrate local radio since it is the medium that reaches 89% of Canadians on a weekly basis.
