Espanola’s Snowarama is set and an Espanola youngster has been named Easter Seals Ambassador.
Carmen Bazinet, Easter Seals regional administrator, says eight-year-old Ricky Dixon has been chosen as this year’s ambassador.
His mother, Amber, says Ricky has his challenges, but is a bright and outgoing child despite his genetic condition and is able to communicate in his own way.
Ring 1 is a genetic condition affecting chromosomes.
She adds he will be at Tim Hortons on Sunday, February 11th during registration for the ride.
Funds raised from pledges go to Easter Seals to provide children and youth with mobility tools, such as wheelchairs, walkers and bath equipment, as well as summer camp.
The ride is out to Massey this year and a spaghetti supper will take place at the Webbwood Eagles Club.
