VISTA Stations $1 Million Campaign Underway

VISTA radio stations across Canada are in the midst of the annual $1 million drive for charity, including sister stations, CJJM in Espanola and CKNR in Elliot Lake.

CKNR 94.1FM will host a two-day Radiothon today and Friday proceeds going to the Salvation Army Christmas Kids Fund.
Tomorrow, an OPP Cruiser will be parked outside the studio to accept toys and gifts for the cause.

Meanwhile, CJJM has concluded its Elk Hamper Fund raising $7,000 for Christmas Hampers.

The Shoebox for Shelters Project supported by Shine continues with shoeboxes being accepted at the Espanola studio.

They will be distributed to women’s shelters in Elliot Lake and Mindemoya and a teen shelter in Sudbury.

The CJJM radiothon runs all day Friday, six am to six pm with proceeds going to the Espanola Therapeutic Park to be built at the Espanola Regional Hospital site next Spring.

All 41 stations across the country are looking towards raising a collective total of $1 million for charities in their local areas.
