Manitoulin Transport has acquired Duckering’s Transport Ltd. of Red Deer, Alberta, a service provider offering next-day service to more than 400 locations throughout the province.
The acquisition builds on Manitoulin’s many previous investments in Western Canada in recent years.
Manitoulin Transport president, Jeff King, says Duckering’s Transport has carved out a niche for itself in the Alberta marketplace and earned a reputation for on-time delivery as well as a customer-first philosophy that the companies share.
He adds it is an important addition as it instantly increases their direct service footprint with over 100 new direct service points.
Duckering’s was founded by Clarence Duckering in 1971 and has remained a family-owned business for more than 40 years.
