Additional Child Pornography Charges Laid

A Sudbury man is facing additional child pornography charges.

In August, the Greater Sudbury Police Service Cyber Crime identified a 30-year-old Sudbury man who was arrested and charged with luring a child, in this case, a 14-year-old girl, to perform an indecent act.

A further analysis of the man’s computer revealed he had been chatting with three other girls under 18, and had asked for and received sexual images from each of them.

Police say the man was also chatting with another like-minded individual and received child pornography online.

As a result, he was arrested on Wednesday and charged with facing 11 charges including luring, making child pornography, custody and access to child pornography.

The man was held in custody pending a special bail hearing.

The police say joint investigation with Edmonton Police and the Department of Homeland Security is underway to identify the girls, as well as the offender who sent the child pornography.
