Espanola’s Minor Soccer Association team, the Phoenix, and sponsor Shaw Direct teamed up with the Espanola Express for a special cheque presentation.
Kidsport assists children and families financially so that they can compete in sports.
This summer, the two partners ran a campaign called “Dollars for Goals” with Shaw committed to donating $10 for every goal scored by the soccer players.
An impressive 169 goals helping to raise $1,690 and Shaw donated an additional $810 dollars bringing the total donation to $2,500 dollars.
The cheque presentation took place at the Express game on Friday evening.
