Kudos are in order for the Espanola Spartan Senior and Junior Girls Basketball teams, both of which won their respective North Shore titles yesterday.
Coach Tony Yachuk led the senior team to yet another victory capping the season with the title of champs of NSSSA, the top of the podium for schools in the local region.
But, they will be going to try and take on an even bigger title.
They are off to the Northern Ontario finals next week.

And if they win there, they are off to the Ontario finals.
As for the Juniors, they are also off to the Northern Ontario finals, but that win will cap their season since Junior teams do not go on to provincials.
