Drunk driver calls police to inquire about driving ability

A drunk Blind River woman called police to find out if she was okay to drive.
East Algoma OPP say last Friday around 4:30 pm, they got a 911 call from an intoxicated women at a residence on Hamilton Street in Blind River.
She wanted police to let her know if she should or shouldn’t drive.
Police went to the home and observed a woman in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.

As the officer approached the vehicle the female opened the door and fell out.

Liquor was found in the vehicle and keys in the ignition.

She was taken to hospital and then released into police custody.
The 62-year-old was then charged with impaired and over the legal limit.
She is to appear in Blind River court on December 7th.
