Four contractors have been hit with $650,000 in fines for poor winter road maintenance in the north.   The Ministry of Transportation filed the charges for offenses like not getting equipment out quickly enough after a winter storm.  The contractors provide services in the North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins area.
