Espanola Festivals a huge success

The venues were filled to capacity at the annual Espanola Pumpkin and Fibre Arts Festival held this weekend.

Hundreds took in the various events which included Carver Kings designing a totem pole for Clear Lake.

They are staying in Espanola until Wednesday at Espanola Home Hardware to complete commissioned work.

The weekend included a sold out fashion show Saturday night, displays of all kinds of fibre arts, papermaking and a pumpkin weigh-in contest with a winner: Perry Kirkbride of Sudbury at 250 pounds.

The Colours of Hope 5 K had 75 participants who raised $7,500 for cancer research on Sunday.
