One of the policies Northern Ontario Progressive Conservative members will decide in online voting in early November deals with the Ring of Fire. The northern policies that are approved make it to the provincial policy convention and will form the party’s platform for next June’s election. Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says the goal with the Ring of Fire policy is to raise its level of importance. He says it’s been 10 years since the chromite discovery was made and not one penny has been spent on infrastructure. Fedeli says the Ring of Fire is perceived as a critical part of the North’s infrastructure. Progressive Conservatives meet in Toronto November 24th and 25th to vote on what policies to take into next year’s election.
