Espanola council knows there are a lot of questions about the garbage bylaw which will be implemented in the New Year.
To that end, they are hosting an open house today as part of the annual Pumpkin Festival.
Council and staff will be on hand to answer questions and explain why they are proposing the four bag limit be reduced from four to two bags.
The bylaw was supposed to be passed into law earlier this month, but following a public outcry, council deferred final reading for six months to educate the public and provide lead time to adopt recycling initiatives to meet the two bag limit.
It runs from 1:30pm to 3pm at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
Staff from other departments will also be on hand, including police cruisers and fire trucks to explore.
