Rainbow Schools collecting gently used winter clothing

Do you have some extra mitts, coats, or scarves?

Then help out Rainbow Schools by participating in the Winter Clothing Drive.

The third year for the project, Walden Public School Principal and co-ordinator, Chris Bourré  says last year, 5,478 items were collected to help more than 3,600 families.

He adds the goal this year is 4,500.

Everyone is invited to drop off gently used winter clothing at any of the Rainbow District School Board’s elementary and secondary schools in Espanola, Massey, Manitoulin Island and Sudbury until October 30th.

This includes AB Ellis and Espanola High, as well as S. Geiger in Massey.

The clothing will then be redistributed within the schools and communities served by the board.
