Thibeault says NDP misleading the public over Hydro rate rise

The Ontario NDP are misleading the public over the Fair Hydro Plan.  That’s the claim from Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault following an exchange in the Legislature with New Democrat John Vanthof.    Vanthof, who represents Timiskaming-Cochrane, says hydro will be going up after the next election.   However Thibeault says the reality is any increase will be held to the rate of inflation for the next four years.  Thibeault adds under the Fair Hydro Plan all homeowners saw electricity rates drop an average of 25 percent and rates will come down even more for other groups.
