There will be plenty of people provided with food this fall, thanks to the tremendous success of the Moose Radiothon in Elliot Lake.
Moose FM 94.1 CKNR assisted the local food bank this past Saturday by setting a one-day record of collecting just over $12,000 in monetary donations and $300 in non-perishable food items.
A big thank you is extended to all the local volunteers, musicians, the Search and Rescue team who manned the barbeque and others who stopped traffic to ask for donations.
The funding will go stocking the shelves at the Elliot Lake Food Bank.
