Bisson reacts to Wynne’s bribe trial appearance

The NDP’s justice critic says Premier Kathleen Wynne knew what was going on in Sudbury in connection with a by-election issue and that she was involved from the beginning.  Gilles Bisson, the MPP for Timmins-James Bay made that comment after Wynne testified at the bribe trial of two senior Liberals.   It’s alleged Gerry Lougheed Junior of Sudbury and Pat Sorbara, the Premier’s former chief of staff, offered a job or appointment to a former candidate in return for not seeking the Liberal nomination.   Both of the accused have denied the allegation.   Bisson says Wynne provided the direction throughout the process.   However in her testimony, Wynne told the court that although she instructed the accused to call the former candidate, she did not tell them what to say or to offer anything.
