A 27-year veteran of the OPP from the Sudbury detachment has non-life threatening injuries after his cruiser was hit on Highway 17 west of the city. The collision took place near Walden where the highway expands to four lanes. Police say the driver of the other car entered the highway from Regional Road 55 and hit the police car. That driver is also being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
