It’s a guilty plea and a $200,000 fine for Glencore after one of its workers was killed at its Nickel Rim South Mine near Sudbury. Back on October 15th, 2015 a miner was operating an ore-moving vehicle underground when it hit a wall throwing the worker. The vehicle kept moving and one of its tires ran over the man. Although there was a seatbelt in the machine, the miner didn’t use it. The company pleaded guilty to not providing information, instruction or supervision that protects workers.
