Education Agreement Reached Between the Federal Government and Anishinabek Nation

An historic education agreement has been reached and Marc Serre is congratulating the 23 Anishinabek Nation First Nations.

The Nickel Belt MP says the agreement reached with the federal government gives Anishinabek control over the curriculum for J-K to Grade 12 in their schools.  This allows them to promote Anishinaabe language and culture and teach Anishinabek youth to be proud of their culture.

Serre hopes the federal government works with First Nations across the country to reach similar agreements.
