The former Cockburn Island First Nation is getting new community mailboxes. Algoma Manitoulin Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes expects the new boxes to arrive in the near future. Hughes says the community mailboxes replace the old, rural group mailboxes now on the Zhiibaahaasing First Nation. Meanwhile Hughes is commending community efforts in Webbwood and Walford to fight for their postal service. Hughes believes without community pressure, both outlets would not have survived.
