At the provincial level, the Opposition parties are blaming the governing Liberals for the Ring of Fire delays. But federal New Democrats are pointing the finger at the Harper Tories for Ring of Fire problems. Nickel Belt MP Claude Gravelle claims the feds are not showing leadership on the chromite discovery. But the federal Conservatives say they can’t do much until the province identifies the Ring of Fire as a priority project. They say once that happens the feds can allocate significant infrastructure funding to the project.
