Residents on Manitoulin have their beaches back. Maple Ridge Sandy Beach and Providence Bay Beach are again open for swimming just ahead of the long weekend. A rise in bacteria levels forced the Sudbury and District Health Unit to post swimming advisory signs at both sites last weekend. But the health unit says levels have dropped and both beaches are again ok to swim in.
