North Bay police are endorsing a new crime-fighting tool called a Trace Pen which helps protect your valuables. The pen puts an invisible PIN number on personal property. The PINs are then stored on an online database which police can access when trying to trace stolen items back to the rightful owner. Home Hardware stores sell the markers for about $40. Other police agencies are also expected to endorse the Trace Pen.
