Swimming advisories issued for two Manitoulin beaches

People who swim at Maple Ridge Sandy Beach on Manitoulin didn’t have much time to enjoy the water.  A high bacteria count has forced the Sudbury and District Health Unit to once again post swimming advisory signs at the site.  Similar signs are also up at Providence Bay Beach.  The health unit says when people swim in water with higher-than-acceptable bacteria, they risk infection.  The health unit will monitor both beaches and tell us when it’s alright to go back in the water.
